A Great Back-Pain Book
In 1995 my doctor told me to prepare for life in a wheelchair when he could do no more for my painful muscle spasm.
At that time alternative and complementary medicine was in its infancy, but as I was ‘clutching at straws’ I had little choice but to experiment. Thus I put my frail back at the mercy of many an unscrupulous practitioner.
Then one day as I listened to a BBC radio interview where the broadcaster Derek Jamieson told of his chance meeting with a fellow (Oswald Rentsch - Ossie) who had just arrived from Australia and how Ossie used his therapy to resolve the problem that Jamieson had with a frozen shoulder.
With difficulty I managed to find a therapist who had trained with Ossie and made an appointment to meet him. Prior to this I suffered with particularly painful muscle spasms. However after just a few treatments my muscle spasms ceased and my back-pain eased.
I was intrigued by the strange, painless, shoving and pushing that the fellow did with bits of my body. The fact was though that I regained my health. Thus one fateful day I decided to have a change of career. I went off to Australia to study.
The book that I have written and published, entitled ‘Getting Your Own Back’ tells my story and goes on to explain how I was saved from a life of misery.
Copies of the book cost £10 inclusive of post and package.
